Erik Enstrom, President Like us on Facebook Brighton Snowmobile Club As I sit here writing this article, I am happy to report that we are receiving our first real snow. That beautiful “white stuff” has been coming down here in the Northeast Kingdom. Temperatures have dropped considerably and the wind is blowing. I am looking forward to the promise that it hopefully brings. Our volunteers have been out marking the trails and it appears that there are no new closures for our club. We will be sharing a short section of Corridor 111 in the Norton Lake area with a logging operation. It is well marked and we ask that you really slow down because those logging trucks are a lot bigger than a sled. We would hate to have anyone hurt or lose permission to use the trail as it is a major connector coming from the Derby area and points west to the east. We will be carrying a new Brighton Snowmobile Club line of clothing this year. It was very popular at several of the shows that we attended earlier and can now be purchased at the Welcome Center in Island Pond. This is also the center for our club and TMA sales during the snowmobile season. We would like to thank the Newark E Z Riders Club for their help and cooperation with trail marking this year. A nice group of their club members marked the trail from just outside Island Pond to Newark (114) and did a fine job. They have been great supporters of our club and activities over the years Our monthly meetings will now be held on the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m.– 9 a.m. at the Welcome Center. We hope that this Brighton Snowmobile Club Trailmaster Dave Page meets with Newark E-Z Riders volunteers to get ready to mark the trail from Island Pond to Newark. There is great cooperation between the clubs!
